City of Livonia issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.

Calling all swimmers!! If you’re interested in becoming a lifeguard, our next two Red Cross lifeguard certification courses are now taking registrations for a pair of sessions 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily on each Feb. 19-21 and March 28-30. Want to be a lifeguard at the Kirksey Recreation Center’s two indoor pools or one of our three outdoor pools? Course registration is just $50! For those not working for Livonia Parks and Recreation, cost is $175. 

We’ve also got free lifeguard training dates where potential lifeguards (ages 15+) can practice the swim test. Check out the attached graphics for details or contact Stephanie at smanoogian@livonia.gov for more information.
