The City of Inkster Department of Public Services announced on Apr. 1 the launch of a dedicated hotline for residents to report potholes on local roads.
This new initiative aims to improve road safety and maintenance by encouraging community members to report potholes directly to city officials. The department said it is committed to keeping streets safe and in good condition for all residents.
Residents can report potholes by calling the DPS Potholes Hotline at (313) 563-4268. When making a report, callers are asked to provide their full name, telephone number, and the exact location of the pothole, such as a street address or nearest intersection. The department said that providing complete and accurate information will help staff respond efficiently.
According to the announcement, Department of Public Services staff will contact those who make reports within 24 to 72 hours regarding their submissions.
The city thanked residents for working together with officials “to keep our streets safe and in good condition.” This partnership between the community and public services is expected to support ongoing efforts in maintaining local infrastructure.
