Literacy Littles – Led by Miss Ashley, this book club will explore the superpower of reading by focusing on a new book each month. Intended for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Who Should Join?Any child that is in kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade. This program is designed for emerging readers whether they are advanced readers or struggling readers.

What Will the Program Look Like?Every month we will meet to discuss and start reading a new book. First, we will discuss what we think the book will be about. We will also begin to learn about the basic elements of books (i.e. plot, characters, etc.), so we will talk about these things as well. Then as a group, we will begin reading the book–this could be kids volunteering to read or Miss Ashley reading aloud. After reading for a bit, we will then do a craft that centers on the theme of the book. Once done, the children will take their books home to finish reading on their own.

When Will the Program be Held?Group A will meet on the 1st Saturday of the month at 10:30 am. Group B will meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 5 pm. Registration is required.
