The Robotics Club is looking for volunteers for the FIRST Robotics event on March 24 – 26, 2022.  The times for the event are as follows: Thursday is from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm.  Friday is from 7:00 am until about 10:00 pm and Saturday is from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.  There is still a need for several positions, some of which require some formal training, others which are on-the-job training.

Some of the jobs include:

Robot Inspector (Thursday evening)
Safety Manager (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Scorekeeper (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Audio/Visual (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Crowd Control (all day Friday and Saturday)
DJ (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Field Reset (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Judges (all day Friday and Saturday)
Practice Field Attendant (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Safety Attendant (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Team Load In/Out (Thursday evening, Saturday evening)
Team Queuing (Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday)
Field Assembly (Wednesday evening)
Field Disassembly (late Saturday afternoon)

The event members are trying to fill these roles as quickly as possible to ensure they have the necessary support for the event.  This is a great event for the district and our community that attracts a large crowd and needs many volunteers so that it will run smoothly.  If you haven’t experienced a Robotics Competition, it is something to see.

Please contact Mark Laginess at 734-697-1016 for information on the event and how to register as a volunteer.

Thank you for your consideration!
