City of Dearborn recently issued the following announcement.
Event will include refreshments, fun activities for kids, and ornate 1860s-style decorations
Residents are invited to visit the Dearborn Historical Museum to participate in a family-friendly Christmas ceremony set in the past.
From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, the Museum Guild of Dearborn will be hosting a Victorian-style Christmas celebration at the Commandant’s Quarters, 21950 Michigan Ave. Visitors can relish in the elaborate 1860s-style decorations, hot tea, and freshly-made cookies.
In addition to the beautiful decorations and refreshments, there will be games and crafts for children. Kids can also meet Santa Claus at the event from 3-6 p.m.
The event is free and open to all.
