City of Dearborn recently issued the following announcement.

Loose leaf collection and yard waste collection now over for the year

The City’s loose leaf and yard waste collection services ended for the year on Friday, Dec. 13. Yard waste collection will resume again in 2020 beginning Monday, March 9.

“We are very grateful for the cooperation we received from our residents, and for their patience during some challenging weather conditions this season,” said DPW Director Jim Murray. “I’m proud of our city employees and all their efforts to keep on top of the loose leaf collection program.”

Those who still have loose leaves or yard waste in need of disposal may drop it off at the Department of Public Works (DPW) Yard, 2951 Greenfield Rd., which is open to residents on the third Saturday of every month. The next date the DPW Yard will be open is Saturday, Dec. 21, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
