The Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce is providing the public with information and tools to use to navigate through COVID-19-related issues.
Among the offered resources is a guide to assist small businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the chamber posted to its website. Featured topics include a breakdown of available federal programs and aid, how to qualify for financial assistance, how to lead a remote business team, practices to implement for employees who don’t have the option to work remotely and how to recruit and hire employees during the outbreak.
The chamber also provided links to apply for unemployment benefits, the Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program and the Wayne County Small Business Relief Loan Fund.
According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, there have been 36,641 confirmed coronavirus cases and 3,085 deaths as of April 24. Wayne County has 6,934 cases and 613 coronavirus-related deaths.
