City of Dearborn recently issued the following announcement.
Executive Order 2020-92 requires the City to maintain public participation for all meetings of the Council. Our host, Mr. Doug Feldkamp, the City's MIS director, will be monitoring all callers. Your phones will be muted in order to eliminate echoes, feedback and distracting noise. However, if you indicate that you would like to speak by using either the chat option or the "raise your hand" feature, Mr. Feldkamp will unmute your device giving you the opportunity to speak at the proper time. At that time, please remember to speak clearly and slowly, and a three-minute time limit will apply.
If for some reason you are unable to speak during the discussion of the agenda item you wish to address, there will be another opportunity for you to speak during the public participation portion, near the end of the meeting, following all the regular agenda items. One speaker at a time will be allowed. Please wait for the meeting leader to provide the floor (mic) to you upon your request to speak, and again, the three-minute time limit will apply.
These City of Dearborn public meetings are being held electronically in accordance with the Open Meetings Act and Executive Order 2020-92 issued by Governor Whitmer in an effort to protect the health and safety of the public and members of public bodies. Members of the public wishing to participate in any of these meetings may do so by utilizing Join Zoom Meeting or dialing into the meeting at the conference call dial-in numbers provided.
This notice is given in compliance with Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of Michigan, 1976, as amended by Executive Order 2020-92 which extends the ability for public bodies to meet remotely as part of the 'Stay Home, Stay Safe' order. The Governor's order is extended through June 30, 2020.
