Small businesses in Wayne County can apply for a Back to Work Small Business Grant. | Morguefile
Wayne County has announced that round two of its Back to Work Small Business Grant program is now open.
Applications for the program opened July 13 and are being processed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
In order to be eligible for round two of the Back to Work program, Wayne County businesses must be identified as a small business, which is defined as a business that employs less than 50 full-time-equivalent employees. Businesses must also have been in existence for over a year, be in good standing with the State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, and be able to show that they were profitable before the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Charter County of Wayne's website, applicants of the first round of the program, which ran from June 29 to July 11, will receive communication about their application status by July 31. Prior applicants will not be required to apply for the second round of the program.
