City of Dearborn issued the following announcement.
City of Dearborn buildings will be closed for all Christmas and New Year’s holidays, and trash collection will be delayed one day for the Friday district on both holiday weeks.
Trash and recycling collection will occur as normal on Christmas Eve, Thursday, Dec. 24.
However, collection will be delayed by one day beginning on Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25. This means that residents with a Friday pickup will have their trash collected on
Saturday, Dec. 26.
Trash and recycling pickup will be on a normal schedule from Monday, Dec. 28 through Thursday, Dec. 31, which is New Year’s Eve.
It will be delayed again on Friday, Jan. 1, New Year’s Day. Trash and recycling for the Friday trash district will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 2.
Residents with any questions about trash or recycling collection should call GFL at 844-233-8314.
The Dearborn Administrative Center (DAC), and the 19th District Court will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25. Curbside pick-up services for all branches of the
Dearborn Public Library will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Dec. 27.
The DAC and the 19th District Court, and libraries will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 1.
Residents are reminded that the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center are currently closed, and will remain closed until at least
Sunday, Jan. 3.
