CITY OF LIVONIA: Residents Who Were Impacted by Flooding Are Urged to Call 211

City of Livonia issued the following announcement on July 13.

If you were impacted by flooding, call 211 or visit MI211.ORG to receive assistance and resources from the United Way.

Michigan 2-1-1 is an easy way to connect with help of all kinds, right in your community. Need help with food, housing, or paying bills? Need support in a family crisis or community disaster? They’re here for you. Any time. All the time. Just call, text, or search online and they’ll get you connected.

Livonia residents should also be mindful of flood-related scams. Scammers swarm to weather disasters to take advantage of otherwise careful consumers who have FEMA money for repairs and want to act quickly to avoid further problems like mold or rot. Ignore door-to-door solicitors offering damage recovery or discounts with leftover supplies from another job. FEMA inspectors and other federal workers never solicit or accept money. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

If you have a concern, call the City of Livonia at (734) 466-2200.
