City of Allen Park Government issued the following announcement on July 14.
The 2nd Annual (interrupted only by a pandemic) Battle of the Badges will take place on Sunday, August 8th at 2:00 PM. Millward Park will be the site of this great event. The cost is a very reasonable $5.00 and the game quality is better than the Detroit Tigers.
Come out and cheer on your favorite Firefighters and Police Officers as they raise money in this charity softball game.
We are trying to confirm if the Allen Park Fire Department has agreed to bat one-handed since they smoked the Allen Park Police Department in the 2019 game. We are by no means trying to stir the pot between these two departments!!
