City of Taylor issued the following announcement on July 29.
Valid write-ins candidates for Tuesday’s August 3 Primary Election in the City of Taylor have now been listed on the City Clerk’s website.

Candidates who will appear on the ballot are: Mayor: Alex Garza, Jeff Jones, and Tim Woolley; City Council: Amy Atwood, Jill Brandana, Tina Daniels, Sam Ditzhazy, Nick Dmitruchina, Martin Drouillard, Douglas Geiss, Chrissy Masters Carmona, Justin Mordarski, Korey Morris, Herman Ramik, Lindsey Rose, Ira Slaven, Asha Tyson, Chris Verdun, and Angie Winton.
There are no primaries for City Clerk Cindy Bower and Treasurer Michelle Tocco.
The top two vote-getters for mayor, and the top 14 vote-getters for council, advance to the November 2 General Election ballot.
Also note that the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor of City Hall (23555 Goddard Road) will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 31. This is the final Saturday before Tuesday’s primary election.
If you need to turn in your absentee ballot, Saturday would be a great time to do so. The final deadline for absentee ballots is 8 p.m. on election night. Staff in the clerk’s office will be on hand to answer questions and support you through the process.
