City of Wayne, Michigan Police Department issued the following announcement on July 30.
Help the Wayne Police Department fill a police car with food for those in need!!
This Saturday (7-31-2021) and next Saturday (8-7-2021) from 11am-3pm, the Wayne Police Department will be participating in the Kroger First Responder Food Drive. We have partnered with the Kroger at W. Michigan / Merriman (31300 Michigan Avenue). We will have a police car in front of the Kroger. Just stop by the Kroger during these days and times with non-perishable food you would like to donate, and our officers will help you stuff the car with food. After the food drives, Kroger will deliver the food items to those in need.
