City of Wayne issued the following announcement on Aug. 11.
Great news!
The City of Wayne and the Wayne Historical Commission and Society would like to thank Wayne County and Wayne County Commissioner Al Haidous for helping to secure $191,000 dollars to rehab the Wayne Historical Museum. Commissioner Haidous made the official announcement last night about this successful grant.
The Museum is in dire need of repairs and through this grant, this historic building will last for generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who participated in helping to make this grant and project a reality.
