Yard Waste includes Grass Clippings, Leaves, Tree Trimmings, Shrubs, Bushes. Shrubs, bushes and branches must be properly prepared. No longer than three feet lengths and bundled with rope material, no larger than a 15 inch diameter. Condense as much as possible. Dirt, sod, woodchips and large stock wood are not acceptable items for curbside pickup. Use a can no larger than 32 gallons (lid required).

A "COMPOST" STICKER MUST BE ON THE CAN. Stickers are available at the DPS and City Clerk's Offices. Containers can be marked with paint or marker as long as it clearly states "COMPOST".

Large brown paper compost bags may be used for yard waste and do not need special markings. These can be purchased at large retail stores, lawn and garden stores, etc.
