The average cost of diesel in cities within Wayne County was $4.16 per gallon.

There are 816 gas stations in cities within Wayne County.

The average price of diesel in Michigan was $4.04, compared to $4.03 the week before.

The U.S. government missed the mark when forecasting gas prices for 2022. A short-term outlook published early in 2022 claimed gas rates would fall, when in fact gas rates rose significantly.

The outlook once again suggested that prices would fall in 2023.
