Wayne State University’s women's outdoor track and field program has achieved a new milestone with 29 student-athletes named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team for the 2024 season. This surpasses the previous record of 18 set last year, marking significant progress for the team. Over the past eight years, Wayne State has seen 156 athletes receive this recognition.
The criteria for inclusion in the GLIAC All-Academic Team require student-athletes to be active members of the roster at the end of the season and not be freshmen or first-year transfer students.
The All-Academic Excellence Team, which requires a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.5, includes:
