Wayne State University swimming and diving teams' head coach, Sean Peters, has announced the schedule for the 2024-25 season. Peters, in his 28th year as head coach, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming competitions.

"We are very excited to get our season started, and started right away!," said Peters. "Once again, I believe our match with Oakland University at OU on September 12th could be the first NCAA competition anywhere. We have a variety of highly ranked opponents in Division II and III on our schedule, and we always look forward to these challenges. I like our home schedule against opponents like Davenport, Northern Michigan and Findlay during October and November, while we host Saginaw Valley State, Oakland and Calvin in January."

The regular season begins at Oakland University on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. Wayne State's next competition will be Clarion's Diving Invitational on Oct. 12-13. The Warriors' home opener is scheduled against Davenport on Oct. 18, followed by matches against Northern Michigan and Findlay on Nov. 9.

WSU will compete in DU's Don Kimble Invitational from Nov. 22-24 to conclude their calendar year competitions. In January, Wayne State will face Saginaw Valley State in Detroit on Jan. 4 before visiting Grand Valley State on Jan. 11. They will then host Oakland on Jan. 18 and Calvin for Senior Day on Jan. 25.

The GLIAC Championships will take place from Feb. 19-22 in Holland, Mich., followed by the NCAA Championships from March 11-15.
