Wayne State University’s head women's swimming and diving coach, Sean Peters, has added six freshmen to the team for the upcoming season. The announcement comes as Peters begins his 28th season leading the Warriors.

The new additions to the team include Emma Crispo from Bergamo, Italy; Maddy Flynn from Davison, Michigan; Emily Hedley from Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom; Delaney Parker from Dexter, Michigan; Kate Rhodes from Clarkston, Michigan; and Megan Unger from Belmont, Michigan.

Emma Crispo is a versatile swimmer specializing in IM/Breast/Fly events. She graduated in 2023 from Liceo Scientifico Statale Lorenzo Mascheroni in Bergamo and swam for Alzano Lombardo.

Maddy Flynn is known for her skills in Fly/Breast events. A 2024 graduate of Davison High School, she made history by becoming the first student from her school to qualify for the MHSAA Division 1 state meet. Flynn plans to major in Nursing.

Emily Hedley specializes in distance freestyle events. She graduated in 2024 from Whitley Bay High School and swam for Newcastle Swim Team. Hedley plans to major in Exercise and Sport Science.

Delaney Parker focuses on breaststroke events. She graduated in 2024 from Dexter High School where she was a four-year varsity letterwinner. Parker is currently undecided about her academic major.

Kate Rhodes competes in sprint freestyle/backstroke events. A 2024 graduate of Lake Orion High School, she served as a team captain during her senior year and earned Academic All-American accolades. Rhodes plans to major in Education.

Megan Unger excels in backstroke events. She graduated in 2024 from Rockford High School where she earned All-State honors and received multiple academic recognitions. Unger plans to major in Nursing.

The addition of these six freshmen aims to bolster Wayne State University's women's swimming roster as they prepare for another competitive season under Coach Peters’ experienced guidance.
