The Wayne State University women's golf team is preparing for Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic at Findlay Country Club in Ohio. This follows their recent victory at the inaugural Warrior Invitational. The Warriors will be competing on their fourth consecutive Monday-Tuesday to start the 2024-25 season, with one more event scheduled for the fall.

"We always look forward to coming to Findlay's event in the fall because it's a great golf course with a great field and a lot of teams from our region," said head coach Larry Hamilton. "It gives us an opportunity to see where we are at this point and how we stack up against the other teams."

The tournament will feature an 18-team field playing 36 holes on Monday starting at 9 AM, followed by another 18 holes on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 AM.

Teams participating include Ashland, Charleston, Ferris State, Findlay "A", Findlay "B", Gannon, Illinois Springfield, Lynn, Malone, Maryville, Missouri-St. Louis, Northwood, Ohio Dominican, Saginaw Valley State, Tiffin, UIndy, Walsh, and Wayne State.

Wayne State's starting lineup includes:

1. Claudia Portillo (Madrid, Spain / IES Ortega y Gassett) - Freshman

2. Ting-Yu Kuo (Taipei, Taiwan / Taipei Municipal Zhong-zheng Senior) - Freshman
