Wayne State University's volleyball team secured a victory against Saginaw Valley State in a four-set match at Hamilton Gymnasium. This win marks the ninth consecutive triumph for the Warriors over the Cardinals. Wayne State's head coach, Tim Koth, acknowledged the challenging nature of road wins in the GLIAC and praised both teams' efforts. "We found a way to win tonight when we didn't play our best," said Koth. "Road wins in the GLIAC are tough, and SVSU played super hard. Credit to them for that, and credit to us for finding a way tonight."

The match concluded with Wayne State defeating Saginaw Valley State 3-1 (-18, -17, 23-25, -19). The Warriors achieved a hitting percentage of .197, marking their lowest in a win since October 22, 2022. They recorded 46 kills against 23 errors on 117 attacks. Meanwhile, Saginaw Valley State managed a .111 hitting percentage with 45 kills and 30 errors on 136 swings.

Molly Miller led Wayne State with 16 kills and achieved her fourth double-double of the season by adding ten digs. Ella Uganski contributed eight kills with only one error on fourteen attempts, resulting in a .500 hitting percentage. Kayla Giroux added ten kills but struggled slightly compared to her usual performance.

Kayla Dulgar also earned a double-double with 37 assists and thirteen digs. This marks her second consecutive double-double and her fourth this season.

Wayne State will next face Lake Superior State on Saturday at Bud Cooper Gymnasium. The Lakers recently had their four-match winning streak broken by Grand Valley State.
