Wayne State divers perform at Clarion's Don Leas Invite

Divers from Wayne State University participated in the Don Leas Invite held at Clarion University's Waldo S. Tippin Natatorium on Friday night. The university was represented by three male divers and four female divers.

In the women's 11 Dive - 1 Meter event, Alicia Viaches from East Lansing, Michigan, secured fourth place with a score of 357.6. Wen Wadsworth-Curcuru finished seventh with 322.95 points, while Ella Murawski and Zoe Wood took tenth and twelfth places respectively.

For the women's 6 Dive - 1 Meter category, Viaches achieved ninth place scoring 207.35 points. In the same event, Wadsworth-Curcuru ranked thirteenth with a score of 179.3, followed by Murawski and Wood in seventeenth and nineteenth positions.

The women's team also competed in the 6 Dive - 3 Meter event where Viaches placed tenth with a score of 164.1, closely followed by Wadsworth-Curcuru in eleventh position and Wood at thirteenth place.

On the men's side for the 11 Dive - 1 Meter competition, Julio Osuna from Tijuana achieved third place with a notable score of 467.8 which met the NCAA cut-off standard for this category. Max Wasiniak earned fourth place scoring an NCAA qualifying mark as well with his performance at 440.75 points.

In another round of competition within Men's events; Wasiniak secured fourth position during their participation in Men’s six-dive one-meter discipline achieving a result equaling to approximately two hundred sixty-seven point twenty-five while Martin landed ninth having accumulated just under two hundred thirty-nine marks overall making him stand out against other participants despite challenges faced along way such circumstances being no different when it came time trying hand three-meters either: Osuna found himself taking second spot behind top contender yet again receiving impressive total reaching almost three hundred seventeen highlighting talent capabilities even further whereas Wasiniak maintained seventh after successful attempt adding additional scores nearly equalizing over two hundred sixty-nine consequently rounding off day final segment completed satisfactorily overall

Wayne State's divers will continue their participation at Clarion University's Fall Classic scheduled for Saturday starting around noon.
