George Day and Cedric Drenth, representing Wayne State University's men's tennis team, participated in the ITA Cup held in Rome, Georgia. On the second day of the competition, the duo faced Luis Iriarte and Eduardo Cohen from Saint Leo in doubles but were defeated.
In singles matches, Cedric Drenth advanced to the consolation semifinals after defeating Pedro Liborio from North Georgia with a score of 6-4, 6-4. Drenth continued his success by winning against Seth Newman from Saint Thomas Aquinas with scores of 7-5, 6-3. However, no consolation final match was played.
