The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team concluded the 2024 NCAA Championships with a strong performance, securing 12th place among 40 teams. The event took place in Geneva, Ohio, where the Warriors accumulated 51 points on the final day, bringing their total to 137.

Head coach Sean Peters expressed his satisfaction with the team's achievements. "This week, this season, was full of amazing experiences and performances," he stated. "I was so impressed with both our women and men at the NCAA Championships as we had 12 top-eight finishes, which included a relay, two runner-up finishes and an NCAA Champion. This particular NCAA Championship was very difficult to qualify for, and once here, very difficult to make the finals. The Warriors definitely did very well, and represented the 313 with our performances, and our spirit. I am very proud of them."

The top five teams were Nova Southeastern with 487 points, followed by Colorado Mesa (461.5), Drury (400.5), UIndy (323.5), and Lynn (215.5).

In individual events, Alli Vassilakos from Clarkston, Michigan placed fourth in the 1650 free with a time of 16:40.33. Jordan Fox from Melbourne finished eighth in the same event with a time of 16:47.70. Megan Sieloff from Grand Blanc placed eleventh after competing in preliminaries with a time of 16:55.02, while Barbara Munoz from Yumbo came in twenty-fourth at 17:15.87.

In the championship final for one-meter diving, Mikaela Senkus from Macomb secured second place with a score of 451.20.

The team also competed in the 400 free relay event where they finished sixteenth with a time of 3:26.73.
