Three members of the Wayne State University women's golf team have been recognized with All-GLIAC honors, as announced by the league on Wednesday. Maisarah Hezri and Beca Vestman were named to the First Team, while Sabel Imesch received Honorable Mention recognition.
Beca Vestman has achieved her third consecutive All-GLIAC honor and her second straight First Team distinction. She led the Warriors in scoring average for four consecutive seasons, recording a 76.3 average this season. Her performance included four top-10 finishes and eight top-25 finishes, both leading the team. Vestman also tied for the team's lowest individual round score with a 70 during round two of the UIndy Fall Invitational on September 11.
Maisarah Hezri earned First Team honors for the second time, finishing second among Warriors in scoring average at 76.6 this season. She recorded three top-10 placements and seven top-25 performances. Hezri's best round was a 72, which she achieved four times throughout the season.
Sabel Imesch, who was previously named GLIAC Freshman of the Year, received an Honorable Mention after earning a First Team nod in 2023. This spring, she had a scoring average of 80.8 over 23 rounds and participated in ten tournaments where she placed in the top 10 twice and in the top 25 four times.
