Wayne State University Hall of Famer and men's golf assistant coach Joe Juszczyk has advanced in the qualifying rounds for the 124th U.S. Open. On May 6, Juszczyk tied for fourth place at a local qualifying event held at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio. His performance, shooting a three-under 68, secured him one of seven available spots to move forward to the final qualifying stage.

Juszczyk is now poised to compete for a place in this year's U.S. Open, scheduled at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club from June 13-16. The final qualifying will occur at 13 locations across the United States on May 20 and June 3. Juszczyk's next challenge will be a 36-hole round on Monday, June 3, at The Bear's Club in Jupiter, Florida.

A comprehensive list of all final qualifying sites is available online.
