The Wayne State University men's basketball team is set to host Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan in upcoming games. The Warriors, currently holding a 10-10 overall record and 6-6 in the GLIAC, will face Michigan Tech on Thursday night followed by Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

Wayne State returns home after splitting their recent road trip. They ended a four-game losing streak with a victory over Purdue Northwest but suffered a loss against Parkside shortly after. This marks the third consecutive weekend where Wayne State has split its conference play.

Michigan Tech, ranked No. 30, comes into the game with a strong 15-5 overall record and shares the top spot in the GLIAC standings with Lake Superior State. All of their losses have occurred during away games. Meanwhile, Northern Michigan holds a 14-6 overall record and has been evenly matched in their last eight contests.

In historical matchups, Wayne State leads both series against these teams. They have won more games against Michigan Tech and recently secured an advantage over Northern Michigan following an impressive win earlier this season.

Michigan Tech's offense is led by junior Marcus Tomashek, who ranks among the top scorers nationally in Division II basketball. He is supported by freshman Ty Fernholz and Pete Calcaterra on rebounds.

Northern Michigan offers a balanced offensive approach with multiple players contributing significantly to scoring efforts. Dylan Kuehl leads their scoring while also being their top rebounder.

Wayne State's previous game against Parkside saw them struggle despite notable performances from Tamario Adley and Carlos Paul III. Adley led his team with points and rebounds while Carmelo Harris made significant contributions from beyond the arc.

Harris also stands out for his free throw accuracy this season, ranking high both within the league and nationally. His teammate Rob Lee Jr., also excels at free throws, placing fourth in league rankings.

Ray Williams Jr., known as "The Maestro," continues to make strides in Wayne State's career records across several categories including minutes played and total rebounds.

Tamario Adley's recent performance at Purdue Northwest was noteworthy as he achieved perfect free throw shooting—a feat not accomplished by any player at Wayne State for over two decades.
