Wayne State women's track heads to Grand Valley State University for competitions

Several members of the Wayne State University women's indoor track and field team are set to compete at Grand Valley State University this weekend. The events include the GVSU Big Meet on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15.

On Friday, Olivia Findlay will participate in the high jump as the only non-runner from Wayne State. The team will also have athletes competing in various running events including the 60m dash, 200m dash, 400m dash, 800m run, mile, 5K, and a 4x400m relay.

The list of competitors for Friday includes Elyse Miller in the 60m Dash along with Sasha-Gay Thompson and Lauren Wooten. Hanne Bastiaansen is scheduled for the 200m alongside Miller and Rachel Overgaard. Avery Wilson will compete in the 400m event. For the 800m run, Rachel Felstow, Anna Gdowski, and Emily Gordon are listed to compete. Robin Bresolin and Taylor Hopkins will take part in the mile race. The team for the 5K includes Mattie Drennan, Reagan Justice—who is currently ranked 13th nationally—Aubrey Migoski, Annalee Misch, and Emilee Rudlaff. The relay team consists of Miller, Wilson, Renae Kutcha, and Makenzie Wellner.

On Saturday's schedule for Wayne State is a Distance Medley Relay (DMR), where they hold a national ranking of 13th by USTFCCCA. Kutcha will again compete in the 400m event while Bresolin and Justice are set for the 3K race; Justice holds a national rank of 28th in this category. Wellner is slated to participate in the 60m hurdles.

Following these meets at GVSU this weekend, Wayne State plans to compete next at SVSU Tune-Up on Friday, February 21.
