The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Swimming and Diving Championships are set to take place from Wednesday, February 19, through Saturday, February 22, at the Holland Community Aquatic Center in Holland, Michigan.
Head coach Sean Peters expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming competition. "What can I say?!? It is championship season, and it is the GLIAC finals," he stated. "We are always looking forward to this competition, and there is a lot to be gained for the Warriors. Best times, strong dives, and certainly good times as a team! I just know both of our swimming and diving programs overcame a lot already in 2025 with some injuries to get back to this, and we are looking forward to seeing how we do against some of the best teams in the country. Wish us luck and enjoy the show!"
Wayne State University (WSU) has shown consistent performance on the men's side over recent years. The team has secured either first or second place in 19 of the last 24 years with four third-place finishes occurring in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2024. The Warriors have won nine GLIAC titles during a dominant period from 2003 through 2014.
Sean Peters is leading WSU's Swimming and Diving programs into his 28th year as head coach. He has been recognized as GLIAC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year ten times.
A number of WSU athletes are currently ranked within the top ten in their respective events at the league level. These rankings highlight their potential impact at this year's championships.
