The Wayne State University women's indoor track and field team is set to participate in its last regular-season meet this Friday. The event, hosted by Saginaw Valley State University, is the annual "Tune-Up" meet.

Wayne State's lineup for the competition includes several athletes competing across different events. In the 60m dash, Hanne Bastiaansen, Iyana Coates, Emmanuela Johnson, Elyse Miller, Rachel Overgaard, Sasha-Gay Thompson, and Lauren Wooten will represent the university. For the 200m race, Tianna Bennett will join Coates, Alex Harmer, Johnson, Thompson, and Avery Wilson.

In the 400m category, Bennett and Makenzie Wellner are scheduled to compete. Jessica Denver, Annalise Elliott, Rachel Felstow, and Meagan Verellen will participate in the 800m event. Taylor Hopkins leads a group including Reagan Justice, Layla Martini, and Annalee Misch in the mile run.

Reagan Justice also appears in the lineup for the 3,000m race alongside Natalie Davies. The 4x400m relay team comprises Denver, Elliott, Verellen, and Martini.

For field events such as high jump and long jump, Olivia Findlay will be joined by Gracie Klink and Ava Steinhebel for high jump; Annabelle Smith and Nicole Warren will take part in long jump competitions. In triple jump events are Findlay again with Renae Kutcha and Steinhebel.

Makayla Stewart participates in shot put alongside Ania Toboy while both athletes also compete in weight throw categories.

Following this meet at SVSU on February 18th of this year (2025), Wayne State returns to Saginaw Valley next weekend from March first through second when they take part once more but now during their Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships held annually every season around this time of year too!
