The Wayne State University football team has released its 11-game schedule for the 2025 season. Under the leadership of head coach Tyrone Wheatley, now in his third year, the Warriors will open their season against former GLIAC rival Tiffin. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Tom Adams Field on Thursday, September 4.

Wayne State holds a historical advantage over Tiffin with seven wins to five losses. However, Tiffin has been victorious in the last three meetings, including a 31-17 win last fall.

In the second week, Wayne State will travel to face Findlay. Historically, Findlay leads the series with 13 wins compared to Wayne State's 11. The Warriors' last visit to Findlay was in 2016 when they won 37-21.

Week three sees Wayne State traveling to Wisconsin-La Crosse. This will be only their second meeting; Wisconsin-La Crosse won their first encounter in 2022 with a score of 28-21.

Wayne State concludes its non-conference games with a home match against Quincy on September 27. The Warriors previously defeated Quincy in their only meeting back in 2019.

The GLIAC schedule remains unchanged from the previous year but will see teams playing at opposite venues this time around.

Wayne State's Homecoming and Hall of Fame game is set for October 4 against Michigan Tech. Wayne State leads this series historically with a record of 20-14 and has secured victories in most home encounters.

On October 11, Wayne State will play Ferris State in Big Rapids. Ferris State has dominated recent matches, winning the last ten meetings and leading the all-time series.

Davenport visits Wayne State on October 18 for another conference clash. Davenport currently holds an edge in their series thanks to recent successes.

Starting October 25, Wayne State will play three of its final four games on the road beginning with Saginaw Valley State. Historically, Saginaw Valley holds a significant advantage over Wayne State.

Senior Day falls on November 1 when Grand Valley State visits Detroit. Grand Valley has been dominant recently, winning five straight matches against Wayne State.

On November 8, Wayne State travels to Roosevelt for what will be just their second meeting since Roosevelt merged with Robert Morris (Ill.) in March of 2020.

The regular season concludes with a trip to Marquette where Wayne State faces Northern Michigan on November 15. Last year, Wayne State secured a victory over Northern Michigan at home.

Season tickets for the upcoming season are now available for purchase, while single-game tickets will go on sale starting April 12 during the spring game event.
