Wayne State University's men's golf team is set to participate in the Ashland Spring Invitational at the Ashland Golf Club over the weekend. The Warriors, currently ranked 26th nationally, will compete across three rounds in two days. Their recent performance at the Findlay Spring Invite saw them finish in second place.

Head Coach Mike Horn expressed anticipation for the event, noting the challenge of playing at Ashland once again. "After playing well at the Findlay Spring Invite, we will see Missouri S&T again at Ashland and we will have to try to avenge that loss," said Horn. He acknowledged the difficulty of beating the host team Ashland on their home course and emphasized the need to perform well against other regional teams. Horn praised team member Josh DiCarlo for his leadership, highlighting the need for the rest of the team to match his performance level. "Josh DiCarlo has been a rock-solid leader of our team and when we get our other starters going at his level, we will be very formidable," he stated.

The Wayne State lineup for the tournament includes Josh DiCarlo of Amherstburg, Ontario, and Max Leppelmeier of Wauseon, Ohio, among others. The field comprises several nationally ranked teams, including #17 Missouri S&T, #60 Ashland, and #43 Catawba, as well as other teams from various regions.
