Wayne County Parks and the Alliance for Rouge Communities announced on Apr. 10 that they will host a community engagement meeting to discuss planned improvements to Inkster Park.
The meeting aims to inform residents about updates regarding the Inkster Park Habitat Restoration Project, which is set for construction this year. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 23, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at Inkster City Hall.
Representatives attending the meeting will include the land owner, engineer, and construction contractor. They will share project details, explain what residents can expect during construction, answer questions from attendees, and gather input on future park improvements.
According to organizers, “Your voice matters—this is your opportunity to help shape the future of Inkster Park.” More information about the project can be found through the Alliance for Rouge Communities.
The restoration project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. All residents are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping plans for their local park.
