Sam Knowles lost to Kagoshima in three sets (4-6, 7-6 [7-5], 7-10) at No. 6 singles.
Head coach Bryan Morrow commented on the team’s performance: “Nice win today over a good Findlay team. I was very happy with the energy that the entire team brought during the match and thought that we did a good job of supporting our teammates. Luis (Klaus) had a really nice win over a very good opponent (Soh Kuyama). I have been very impressed with his game so far this year. George (Day) picked up a good win after being a little under the weather and missing our last match. We were able to fight through some adversity and win some tie-break sets against a good in-region team and are all excited for the upcoming West Virginia trip.”
