DETROIT — The Wayne State University softball team has announced that 12 of its athletes have been recognized as GLIAC All-Academic honorees for 2025. Over the past five years, 63 members of the program have received this recognition.

The criteria for selection require that student-athletes be active members on the roster at the end of the season and not be freshmen or first-year transfer students. Grade-point averages are calculated through the winter semester.

The All-Academic Excellence Team includes Logan Forman, Lauren Fritz, Mia Hool, Molly Hool, Rylie Josephson, Sydney Long, Jessie O’Donnell, and Mady Ruczynski. These athletes achieved cumulative GPAs ranging from 3.50 to 4.0.

The All-Academic Team comprises Hayden Batton, Kennedy Cole, Maddie Hool, and Madison Martinez with GPAs between 3.0 and 3.49.

Additionally, Forman, Long, and Ruczynski were honored with CSC Academic All-District recognition alongside first-year transfer Grace Fisher.
