"Fitzpatrick received this award for the fourth campaign in a row," stated the press release. He holds a 3.73 GPA in Civil Engineering and is recognized as the program's all-time leader in wins and starts.

CJ Maury, a senior shortstop from Brampton, Ontario, has been awarded for three straight seasons. He maintains a 3.64 GPA in Sport Management and has started every game over the past two seasons.

Mason McGuire is noted for his versatility on the field and his academic achievements with a 3.77 GPA in Sport Management. The junior utility player from Lyon Township, Michigan was described as WSU's Swiss Army Knife.

Sophomore third baseman Tony Hatzigeorgiou holds a 3.75 GPA in Biomedical Engineering. A co-captain of the team from Oxford, Michigan, he followed up his GLIAC Freshman Player of the Year season with another strong performance.

Graduate southpaw Seth Marano concludes his time at Wayne State with recognition both academically and athletically. With an undergraduate GPA of 3.67 in Management and a graduate GPA of 3.86 in Sports Administration, Marano hails from Canton, Michigan.

Fitzpatrick will advance to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors after being named to the Second Team last year.
