The Wayne State University baseball team was defeated by Grand Valley State University in a four-game series, with the Lakers completing a victory in the series finale. Ethan Getting came in as relief pitcher for Wayne State and was nearly perfect. He pitched the final two innings, not allowing a hit, issuing two walks, and striking out one batter. Getting threw 39 pitches.
