Wayne State University’s baseball program will hold a Prospect Camp on Saturday, October 11, at Harwell Field and the Doris J. & Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility in Detroit. The event is open to high school students graduating between 2026 and 2029 as well as junior college players.

Check-in for the camp begins at 9:00 AM, with the showcase starting at 9:30 AM. Specific check-in times for pitchers will be provided ahead of the event.

"This camp will present the opportunity to showcase your skills and receive instruction directly from the Wayne State University coaching staff and student-athletes. In addition, each camper will receive their showcase metrics. The showcase will include game simulation evaluation along with enhanced showcase curriculum and an extended batting practice. There will also be a campus tour during the day," according to organizers.

Staff members will record data throughout the camp and share results with participants afterward. The afternoon session includes live action play, giving campers a chance to compete in game situations. All pitchers are scheduled to throw one inning, while hitters will get at least two at-bats and opportunities to play defense. Other college baseball programs have been invited to attend.

Fees are set at $125 for two-way players, $100 for position players, and $75 for pitchers.

Campers should bring cleats, baseball pants, hats, all necessary equipment, and a water bottle. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and lunch. Spectator seating and standing room options are available for family members or guests.

All attendees must print and complete two required forms prior to attending the camp.
