Kyle Hill, a former pitcher for the Wayne State Warriors baseball team, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Hill played for the Warriors from 2004 to 2007, during which time he contributed to 105 overall wins and 68 victories in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

Hill received several honors during his collegiate career. In 2005, he was named First Team All-GLIAC and was selected to the ABCA/Rawling All-Region First Team. That same year, he helped lead Wayne State to a GLIAC regular-season title and its first appearance in the NCAA tournament.

He was also a two-time All-GLIAC Second Team pitcher in 2004 and 2007. Hill was recognized as Wayne State's Top Pitcher in both 2004 and 2005, sharing the honor with Anthony Bass in 2007.

At the time of his graduation, Hill's 24 career wins matched the school record, a mark that stood for 17 years. He led or tied for the team lead in wins during each of his first three seasons and finished third in the GLIAC with a 2.52 earned run average as a senior.

Hill’s performance in 2005 included 13 starts, tying him for fifth-most in a single season at Wayne State, and nine victories, which tied him for third. As a senior, he recorded eight complete games, also tying for fifth place in school history.

Upon completing his collegiate career, Hill held the top two single-season strikeout-to-walk ratios for the program and still holds the career record with a ratio of 3.60, having struck out 173 batters while issuing only 48 walks. His program record of 45 career starts stood for 17 years, and his total of 20 complete games remains tied for second-most at Wayne State. He ranked second all-time with 271.1 innings pitched.

Hill is originally from Mississauga, Ontario. He achieved his first collegiate victory with a complete-game no-hitter against Mercyhurst.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Hill was a three-time member of the GLIAC All-Academic Team. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English in 2008 and a master’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education in 2010. Hill was named to the Academic Honor Roll all eight semesters, including five terms on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for maintaining a term GPA of at least 3.5.
