Wayne State University's women's volleyball team has been included among the 10 teams in the Midwest Region featured in the NCAA's initial regional rankings, which were released on Wednesday, November 5. The list is currently presented in alphabetical order and will be updated with ranked positions on November 12 and November 19. The final rankings will be revealed during the NCAA Selection Show scheduled for Monday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

The teams named in the Midwest Regional Rankings as of November 5 are Cedarville (15-5 in region, 17-5 overall), Ferris State (15-2, 19-5), Findlay (18-3, 18-3), Grand Valley State (11-6, 15-7), Missouri-St. Louis (18-2, 20-4), Ohio Dominican (19-4, 20-5), Quincy (14-3, 18-5), Rockhurst (17-4, 17-8), UIndy (12-5, 17-8) and Wayne State (15-4, 17-5).

On Selection Sunday, eight teams from each of the eight regions across the country will qualify for the NCAA Tournament. In the Midwest Region specifically, three spots are reserved for conference tournament champions while five additional teams will receive at-large bids.

Wayne State last qualified for the NCAA field of 64 in 2021—their first appearance since 1994—where they were defeated by Michigan Tech in Big Rapids during the quarterfinal round. The program's third all-time appearance occurred in 1987.

The Warriors are set to conclude their regular season road games this Friday against Lake Superior State at 7 p.m., followed by a match at Saginaw Valley State on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
